T - shape fracture is transverse fracture associated with
vertical fracture line breaking the obturator foramen. It breaks the
innominate bone into 3 pieces, The Ilium, The Ischium and The Pubis.
It is to be differentiated from fracture of both the columns.
Surgery may either be carried out by anterior Ilio inguinal approach
or Kocher Langenbeck approach. Some cases may require simultaneous anterior
and posterior approaches.
In this patient the fracture was treated surgically by Posterior Kocher
Langenbeck approach. The mode of fixation was interfragmentary screw
and reconstruction plate used in neutralisation mode.
