CARPAL FRACTURES
3 Most Common Carpal Injuries are

Fracture through the Scaphoid Fracture of the hook of Hammette.

Dislocation of Lunate or perilunar dislocations with or without associate fractures.

All these injuries are relatively uncommon but are of great magnitude, associated with many inherent problems like injury to median or ulnar nerves, non unions and post traumatic wrist arthrosis.

Special X-rays

Oblique views of the wrist and C.T. scan may be required to identify these injuries.

Management

Closed manipulative or open reduction of dislocation with or without fixation of the fractures is the appropriate line of treatment for these complex injuries.
