Fracture of olecrenon is a fairly common injury.

It usually occurs due to fall on the tip of the elbow.

If it is a simple two part fracture, the treatment will be simple wiring.

In a case shown here, the olecrenon is comminuted ( broken in many pieces ). Hence the treatment consisted of open reduction and plate fixation.
